Benny Wan

In a career that spans banking, insurance and professional consulting, Benny Wan has helped clients assess and employ risk strategically. While working for one of Canada’s top five banks, he cofounded their risk solutions group and was responsible for designing and implementing customized risk solutions for pension plans and other institutional investors.

Benny was also involved in developing a range of pension de-risking options that included pension buy-in solutions and options for longevity risk transfers. These solutions were applied to multi-billion dollar opportunities, and demonstrate his capacity for introducing fresh thinking to a market currently defined by somewhat generic approaches.
